Check Your Balance

Balance, a focus of this cycle, is the ability to control the body and its center of mass relative to the body’s point(s) and base of support. In most cases, this means staying in control on your feet. Training balance can help build strength, stability, body awareness, and body control.

We tested balance twice during Test Week with the Balancing Split Squats with Pivot Reverse on the Wednesday Test and the Balancing Medicine Ball Side Throws on the Friday Test. Our coaches learned some cool balancing drills from MovNat, and you can see some of them here. We’ll use these and other drills to improve our balance on one Practice Day each week.
