A simple summer dessert

Last week I had the opportunity to attend Kitchen Karate class with a few other CFLA students.  You all probably saw Casey pitching his 3 month long intensive class in the tall room last week, but this class is the original 3 hour class in which you learn how to prep 15 meals in 2 hours for yourself or your family. Casey- a former CFLA students shares some awesome info on how to shop, what seasoning go together and how to be efficient in the kitchen. I would recommend it to those who are new to cooking and the kitchen. Kitchen Karate gives you the opportunity to be creative with what you cook. You choose your meats, vegetables and grains, and season them as you wish, with as much variety as your mind and tastebuds allow. It was fun to learn how to get things done quickly.

Being creative is one of the things I love about cooking. Nature does a wonderful job at always changing what is available as seasons change and brings new foods, strawberries and rhubarb being one of the current items. I’ve made this dish twice now and had strawberry rhubarb pie last weekend in Chicago and both were amazing. I wanted to share this easy and tasty recipe I found online at Pinch of Yum for paleo strawberry rhubarb crisp.  I hope you find some inspiration from it or possibly make it and try it yourself!
