Three rounds for time of:
21 Chest-to-bar pull ups
10 Power snatch (115/75)The Los Angeles Marathon is coming… Sunday, March 20th. An event like this is a great way to “Throw the long ball…” put out there a BFHAG (big, fat, hairy, audacious goal), many many months in advance… and then work your way toward it. In the case of the Marathon, there are many running / training programs to help you along way. But in the case of the rest of your life… you’ve got to be the source. Here are the steps I recommend you take when you’ve got a BFHAG in mind:
1. Throw out a goal… something you’d like to do that might even seem impossible.
2. Decide on a date / time by which you’ll achieve it (this may change depending on step 3)
3. Pick as many intermediate steps as you think you’ll need to get you to your BIG goal.
4. Plan out the actions you need to take to allow you to achieve each intermediate goal.
5. Take Action.
If you skip a step, you’re not doomed… but your chances of succeeding are drastically reduced. So lets hear your BFHAGs in comments. What would you like to achieve sometime in the next 1-3 years, that you are willing to work through these steps on?
By the way… we have a group of CFLA runners committed to running the Marathon this year – Steve G., Anthony G., Kevin D. and Elizabeth H. If you’re also running, sound off in comments… I’d love to connect all the runners from CFLA so you guys can arrange a carpool.
