Be A Mountain

We’ve had some killer competition and mental toughness WODs over the last few weeks.  In relation to my mindfulness training, there is a mountain meditation.  You are strong and steadfast in your ways.  No weather can alter your position.  You remain grounded whenever trials and challenges come along.

I sometimes like to think of one of my favorite “pump-up” songs before a competition or mental toughness WOD, and it’s by Biffy Clyro, a Scottish rock band.  The song is called, guess what, “Mountains”, and the chorus sings like this:

 

I AM A MOUNTAIN

I AM THE SEA

YOU CAN’T TAKE THAT AWAY FROM ME

 

I love that chorus!

Remember those lines as you barrel your way through the upcoming challenges.
