30 second L-sitYou might remember a post from the beginning of the year in which I talked about the importance having a vision for yourself and setting some goals. Remember?
Well, if you did the work, now’s a great time to check in. If you’ve completed them already, fantastic! Dance a little jig, do some celebrating… and then figure out where you’re headed for the remainder of the year. If you haven’t completed them, do some investigative work. Where are you? Close, or are they still a long way off? Are they realistic and achievable? If you’re still feeling good about them and that you’ll get there by the end of the year, fantastic. If not, do some adjusting… the idea here is that you figure out a way to get them, or a modified version of them complete.
Lastly, if you find yourself without a vision or a set of goals, now is a great time to get started. You’ve got about 5 months left until the end of the year. Pick a couple areas to work on and set a goal or two. Write them down (this is powerful, and critically important). Make sure they meet the SMART criteria (specific, measurable, achievable, realistic, timed). And if you want some help deciding if you’ve chosen ‘good’ ones, give a call in to your coach… it’s a great conversation to have with him/her!
