It’s Friday, and you know what that means? Well, for me, it means we’re only one day away from the Grand Opening of CrossFit Pacific Coast! And for me, that’s a really special event. Nothing is more satisfying as a coach than watching the transformation of a person – athletically and personally… and believe me, Traver Boehm has transformed. He began training here about three years ago with the personal goal of getting into better shape for MMA fighting. Now, three years later, he’s gone way beyond any personal goal he could set for himself… he’s committed to teaching others and passing on what he’s learned (both from CrossFit and from acupuncture) by opening up a CrossFit School in Santa Barbara. It is a rare and unique opportunity I have as a coach to see the physical manifestation of the possibility I created almost five years ago, but for me to claim that it was just me would be leaving out a big part of the equation, it was our entire community. Traver is the tip of the spear, and we are the power behind him. Thank you Traver, for giving us all this gift and allowing us to participate in your growth and future!

Today’s Workout

Complete as many rounds as possible in 12 minutes of:
15 Box Jumps (24/20)
15 KB Swings (24/16)
15 Leg Drops
– Leg Drops – start by lying on your back with your legs in the air and knees bent. Keep your lower back pressed into the ground and lower your heels to to touch the ground. Extend your feet as far away from your butt as possible, but only to the extent that you can keep your lower back pressed into the floor.
