Consistency or intensity?
“In the quest for elite fitness, consistency always wins out over intensity.” I came up with this – and I paraphrase it in every “Welcome Aboard” postcard I write to a new student, because in my experience, it is consistency that matters… consistency creates habits. And habits change the world. If you make consistently poor choices, your life will reflect it – just as it will with excellent choices. Consider this quote from Aristotle, “We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.” I came across this 7 Habits of Highly Effective Athletes yesterday. What are your 7?
