6 Push JerkIf you’re like me, you grew up in the country, with a sizable yard, and a garden where fresh vegetables were available for a good portion of the year. Ever since moving to Los Angeles, finding the joys of gardening has been a challenge for me. On and off I have had a flower garden on my balcony, but earlier this year I decided to transition from flowers to food! There are many vegetables that will successfully grow in containers and are easy to maintain. Imagine you could just go out on your porch and have fresh herbs, lettuce, peppers, tomatoes, and more. I have found it highly rewarding, both in terms of having a beautiful balcony and also as far as my impact on the planet and being able to do something positive.
