Tabata bottom-to-bottom SquatsNow that we’re 2 weeks into the Whole Life Challenge, I’ve noticed something interesting. It’s not nearly as hard as I thought it was going to be! And I started thinking… is that just because doing something like this is easy, or is there something else at play that is making it easier than it could be otherwise? Knowing what I know about dieting, it’s definitely NOT because this challenge is easy! And then it dawned on me… drafting… you know, the thing that cyclists and runners do in races to conserve energy, tucking in behind another person or group of people to make the going easier? I’ve been drafting on all of you!
Each of you that is participating, in your own little way, is part of the draft I’m riding behind… and I am grateful for it. For me, this challenge wouldn’t be possible without your draft.. and as long as I let you lead… and I follow directly behind – not questioning, just following… I KNOW I’ll get there. Sometimes success in life comes from knowing when to strike out there on your own and forge a new path, and when to stay slightly behind and get pulled along. In this case, I know exactly where I belong… and thanks to each of you who is leading the way for me! Anyone else out there feel the same way?
