Monkey in the MiddleWhen you’re a little kid, objects in life tend not to be shaped in a way that is convenient for you. They are big and awkward and meant for people who are taller and heavier. One of the ways we help kids learn “functional” fitness is by having them work with odd objects, like a tire. Rolling, flipping, and jumping in and out of tires all require a little bit different movement than jumping on a box or moving nicely balanced weights around. This way, kids learn early on to handle things that might not be built with kids in mind!
