Get Away…and be Grateful!

So I took a nice leisurely drive up to San Francisco this past weekend for several reasons. First, to reunite with some college friends who have recently moved abroad,  second, to celebrate the baptism of my best friends baby Kiefer, and lastly, I just needed to clear my head. 

I absolutely love driving, and was looking forward to the 12+ hours I was planning to spend during the round trip to the Bay area.  Windows down, music blaring, and me alone with my thoughts is exactly what I was looking forward to, and it’s exactly what I experienced. 

Sometimes, life gets in the way of living, wait for it…..LIFE.  We stress about our jobs, finances, relationships, “Wodding”, that we forget to be grateful for just being here. 

The pastor at the baptismal service preached a great sermon about the differences between happiness and gratefulness, and how they are very much intertwined.  I for one listened carefully, and plan to make a change in my daily habits, in order to list at least one thing each day that I am grateful for, because we all live in such great abundance. 

The next time things get a little too hectic in your head, at home, the office, the gym, or elsewhere, STOP, take a deep breath, and think to yourself, “What am I grateful for today?”.  I imagine it will start to do wonders for you.

A) Dip Bonzanza
Focus on kip

200m Run
10 HR Pushups
100m SB Front carry
10 HR Pushups
–1min Rest between rounds–

3-5 x 2 (~90-95%)
