Get a Grip
Many times speed and intensity during a workout is determined by your versatility. Take your grip for example. Are you as well versed in a pull up with an underhand grip (chin-up) as an overhand grip (pull-up)? How about using a mixed grip? Are you able to switch grips at will during a workout? I’ll never forget the first time I saw a video of Greg Amundson doing “Angie” – every time he jumped up to the pull-up bar, he did so with a different grip – and he was able to maintain his form and intensity in his kip for all 100 pull-ups.
Today’s workout is a great chance to give this a try – practice versatility on the pull-up bar with all four grip options. Are you up for the challenge?
