Franklin Hill SprintsAre you waiting until the New Year to start doing the “thing” that you’re going to change next year? I was talking with someone who is doing their first Whole Life Challenge in the New Year and he was all up in his head about not knowing what it was going to be like, if he was going to be able to do it, and if he’d fail.

There was so much anticipation about what making all the changes would be like when the Challenge started. He was really nervous. I started by trying to describe it to him, how simple it was, what small actions he would have to take. He hit me right back with “I know it seems simple to you, you live and breathe this stuff!” He was absolutely right! I had totally forgotten what it must be like to be completely new to this sort of thing.

Then it hit me. I told him not to wait until January 11 to start. Start practicing now! He can certainly practice taking on 10 minutes of exercise every day – when the pressure’s off. Maybe take a supplement. If that’s easy, add stretching.

If you want to make a change, why would you wait? Would you rather have the results now or later? Are you afraid you’ll regret it? If you don’t like it you can always go back to what you were doing before.
