Dead-hang Pull-upsAbout 2 years before my son was born, I got an inkling to try some gymnastics. I wasn’t sure at the time just how much I could learn… after all, I was 37 years OLD. It was my good fortune to meet Dusty… a gymnastics GOD, and an instructor at Broadway Gymnasics. He never made me feel too old, and helped me learn a ton over the course of 2 years. One of the things I learned is that you’re never too old to incorporate gymnastics into your training… you just have to learn from great instructors!
Cut to today… I am still not a ‘gymnast’. However, gymnastic movement is a large part of my CrossFit training. Fortunately, Dusty is still around, and is, in fact one of the co-owners of Dogtown CrossFit. I’m really excited that in a few short weeks, he (and Kelly) will be coming to CFLA to teach a 4-hour gymnastics seminar… that will cover all aspects of bodyweight movement as they relate to CrossFit. Regardless of your fitness or skill level, this will be a fantastic seminar… taught by a heck of a great gymnastics coach. Believe me, this is not a seminar to miss!
