Humbled by Squats

During our workout yesterday, I started thinking about exactly why I keep coming back for more CrossFit. I was in the middle of being humbled by 135 pound overhead squats, feeling inadequate, insecure, weak, uncoordinated (you know, the great things you feel in the middle of many CrossFit workouts), and I thought, “Why in the hell would anybody do this… and keep coming back?” The answer for me? I’m stubborn. I don’t like to be told I can’t do something. And I don’t like it when someone else can do something I can’t. So I keep coming back to see just how far I can push the envelope – to see just how much I can take, how much I can lift, how fast I can go. And that means, at times, getting humbled by workouts – in fact, that’s what keeps me in the game! What keeps you coming back to CrossFit?
