It doesn’t matter because hitting or not hitting the mark doesn’t give you who you are. You say who you are.
It doesn’t matter because every day is a new opportunity to be the person you said you’d be.
It doesn’t matter because you made it up anyway.
See, if it’s a failure of performance rather than a personal failure all there is to do is to look at what was missing and take the next action.
Remember you made it up and what you didn’t say was “This will tell me who I am.” You said “This would be cool!”
