Just because you love something doesn’t make it right. It isn’t inherently good just because you think it’s good for you. Chances are, in fact, that it’s not right and good for everybody.

Conversely, just because you’re not doing it, doesn’t make it wrong. It’s not bad and wrong because someone else is doing it and they’re not doing what you’re doing.

I know some people that love Zumba. Like love the heck out of Zumba. Do I think from a scientific standpoint that Zumba is an effective fitness program? No, no I do not. But so f’n what? These people love Zumba. They go regularly, every week, they bust their asses, and they have a community they love. They are getting closer to their goals because of Zumba.

I have other friends who love running. They love running because they’re far away from ‘community’ and they love their time alone, in their head, on the road or the trail. You might even be one of these people some days of the week.

Is any of it wrong? No, it’s just different. Just like we each have different minds, bodies, and hearts.

And are you wrong for loving CrossFit? Are you wrong for loving your community at CFLA? Hells no. Ain’t nothin’ wrong with that at all.

There’s nothing inherently right about anything you’re doing, but there’s also absolutely nothing wrong.

Becca Borawski served as Program Director at CFLA for seven years and is now part of the extended coaching family. She is the managing editor for Breaking Muscle, a website designed for real athletes and real coaches. She lives in Portland, OR and is most likely preparing a paleo meal at this moment.

Christina is a snatcher. 4 months ago she struggled with this weight. Today, clearly not. #crossfit #crossfitgirls #crossfitwomen #snatches #womenofcfla #progress #stickthelanding
