Kipping over the bar
Any of you looking to improve the fundamentals of your kipping pull-ups need look no further than Damien. He is among many of our students with a good kip. Below, he’s in the first part of the swing – with his shoulders in front of the bar and his legs back, his body in the shape of a “C”. The kip is initiated from the shoulders, not the legs (as many people think) – and regular, repeated practice of this movement, back and forth, underneath the bar (without ever really doing a pull-up) is essential for a solid kip.
