LET’S REPRESENT for the Affiliate Cup!

The SoCal Regional Qualifiers for the CrossFit Games are coming up the weekend of April 18-19. We’ve got 8 athletes and and quite a few spectators registered (by the way, if you are spectating, you also need to register.) If you were thinking about competing, the time is NOW – registration closes on March 31. Click here for the registration website.

Many of you have heard about the AFFILIATE CUP – the team competition at the Games. Each Affiliate is allowed to enter one team of 6 people (2 men, 2 women, and 2 of either). After much contemplation about how to pick our team, we’ve decided to base it on both athletic competition, and subsequent final staff selection (based on the top 5 men and top 5 women scores – which, we think, will ensure we have a well balanced team of people who can work well together.) Here’s how it’s going to work: The athletic events for our team selection will be the same as those in the Regional Qualifier (which get announced on April 15th). Our competition will tentatively be held the weekend of April 25-26 (exact times and dates TBA). Those people competing in the qualifier, will NOT have to re-do the workouts for our team selection, their scores from the qualifier will count. We encourage lots of participation, whether you think you have a chance of making it or not – it’s all about being in the game! Post your interest to comments and register at the gym… Lets pick the best team we can and represent CFLA at the Games!

With a partner, alternating each round, complete 12 rounds for time of:
5 pull ups
10 push ups
15 squats
– note: if you don’t have a partner, complete 6 rounds on your own
