Does CrossFit really work?

So just how does a bad-ass, professional athlete stack up to a CrossFitter in a CrossFit workout? I’ve always wanted to know, but haven’t ever had the chance to find out first-hand… until now. As you’ll see in the video below, Leyon (and his brother, Leroy) are amazing athletes – they were both collegiate football players and are currently training to be heavyweight boxers. They train in the gym almost 6 hours every day. This is a video of their FIRST ever CrossFit workout, and then our effort at the same workout a few days later. For them, simply getting through the workout was an accomplishment… lets just say that they severely underestimated CrossFit. (By the way, this is my first effort at editing a movie myself – go easy…)



Today’s Workout

5 rounds for time of:
Muscle-ups (3/2)
30 Wallballs (20/12)
6 Sumo Deadlift High Pull (135/95)
– note: The substitution for a muscle up is 4 pull-ups and 4 dips
