Lost and Found

Today’s Workout

For time:
Double undersNow that you are in the best shape of your life… and you’ve been training for the unknown and the unknowable, you’re ready to go out and do anything, right? How about heading out to the San Bernadino Mountains and bagging a 10,000′ peak? Or better yet, going up into the Sierras and nabbing a 14er? How about something less remote – driving to a good friend’s party… in the Valley (to a place you’ve never been before). What do these have in common? NAVIGATING – figuring out where you are and where you’re going without getting lost.

Using a map and compass to find your way – a skill that is still in practice today all over the world… and one that has been used for centuries. Want to really be empowered? Learn how to read a map and use a compass. Next week at our Orienteering Seminar, I will be teaching everything from basics to more advanced techniques of map and compass work. Want to know if it’s applicable? Well, if you walk, hike, run, drive, travel (who doesn’t)… or mountain bike, ski, surf, kayak… or want to be on the next season of Amazing Race… this is a seminar that you shouldn’t miss!

Sometimes when you get lost, you might just feel like flipping your tire. Go Kevin!
