The CFLA coaches talk a lot about how we are forever in pursuit of professional development. If we don’t talk about it with you  members directly, we most definitely talk about it among ourselves and in meetings. In fact, Kenny requires that we are enrolled in some sort of professional development course or workshop at least twice a year. I went to my CrossFit L2 cert a couple months back and as I mentioned in a previous post, I’m currently enrolled in Kelly Starrett’s master mobility and movement course. I want to be really good at my job so all of this is very important to me.

But I also want to be good at my life in general, which means I work on my personal development, too. I’m constantly trying to improve my Spanish. I’m always working on how to deepen training, mental, and spiritual practices. A workshop I’m signed up for on April 1 is with our own Carolyn Freyer-Jones. She’s leading a Self Mastery for Women course on how we might hold ourselves back as leaders in our jobs, our lives, in the world. It addresses our blind spots even when we are already powerful women. I’m excited to open up more avenues of possibilities for myself.

In what areas do you actively work to develop? Or a better question, what would you like to pursue or work towards even if it’s something that feels wild  and/or brand new?
