Front squats – the first time you try them they usually feel horribly uncomfortable! With the weight resting on your collarbone, wrists killing you, and the bar pushing up against your throat seemingly trying to strangle you, it is certainly not natural or comfortable. Whether you’re strong or weak, fast or slow, newcomers to the front squat have similar experiences. The only way it gets better is through practice… hmmm… think about that from the context of “normal” fitness and lifting weights. Practice? What are some of the other things you are practicing on to raise your skill level?
