Rest between sets as needed. Goal is max load in a set.Let’s play a game of pretend. If you could be anything in the world, what would you be? Okay, now at the top of the next minute I want you to start pretending that’s what you are. Ready? Go!

Sounds silly, right? But what if becoming what you dream of started off just that way? People who know me now or follow my Facebook know me as someone who cooks constantly, loves preparing multi-course meals, and collects paleo cookbooks. Ask the staff at CFLA if the “Becca” they knew did any of that and you’ll probably hear Andy’s laugh all the way down the street. But I reinvented myself. I said “Ready? Go!” and made myself a paleo chef.

Now, the amassing of knowledge and skill didn’t happen overnight, but the mentality did. I grew up priding myself on my IN-ability to cook, because that was for ‘domesticated women’ (not sure how liberating that mentality actually was). Now I get that I have an amazing power in my ability to cook. A) I can feed myself, which is a highly practical skill. B) I can control the quality of my food. C) I can make other people smile and express my love for them.

So, ask yourself again – if you could be anything, what would you be? Ready? Go!
