50 Double UndersEver feel like stretching is ‘just what the doctor ordered’, maybe even instead of working out? Yup – I know the feeling. In fact, there was a point in my training, about 8 years ago, that I took 7 months off and did nothing but mobilizing – in the form of yoga. Honestly, I don’t particularly like or gravitate to stretching, especially when compared to taking on a good WOD, but the benefits to my body unmistakable.

With that in mind, we’ve decided to add YOGA to our curriculum at CFLA. When it comes to flow, balance, breath, lengthening, restoring and rejuvenating, nothing quite compares to yoga… And nothing will have an impact on your CrossFit performance like getting a fuller range of motion at the ankles, knees, hips, back, and shoulders. Classes are 60 minutes and begin next week. They’re being Taught by Taylor Estes – one of our long-time CrossFitters, and a yoga teacher extraordinaire! The schedule (for now):

Tuesday – 8:00 am
Thursday – 8:00 am & 4:00 pm
**Note: BYOM (bring your own mat)!
