Speed & Performance – a matter of efficiency

We’ve been talking a bunch lately about maximizing efficiency – so that we’re able to do more work in less time (maximizing intensity). But what makes one person actually faster than another? Is it a matter of the size of their lungs, the strength in their legs, or their VO2 max? Is it mental – their capacity to push beyond other’s limits?
