“Da Tiny Hoppa”

The 6 am class will pull your workout from Kenny Kane’s “Tiny Hoppa,”
a collection of 9 workouts specially selected by KK to challenge the
skills you’ve been practicing over the last 10 weeks. Today (Friday) is the start of something big. Whether you knew it or not, 5 of our students have been preparing themselves over the course of the last 6 months to 2 years one of the most rigorous training opportunities of their life, SealFit’s Kokoro Camp. Kokoro is a 50 hour, non-stop test of your body, mind and spirit. It pushes you to go places that physically, mentally and emotionally you’ve never gone before and tests the very fabric of your existence.
Why would someone want to do this? Well for each of our 5 going down there, it’s different, and very personal. But each has a reason of his own that he will be living with and exploring… and hopefully, by the end of the 50 hours has an answer that is meaningful to his life.
People who’ve participated and completed the camp talk about incredible breakthroughs in the ares of mental toughness, leadership, discipline, focus, and spirit. They look at the world through a slightly different looking glass than when they began.
It’s with great pride, joy and encouragement that I wish the best this weekend to Ricky, Stephen, Alex, Zach, and Eli as they go through this grueling training. I’m proud of each one of these guys for having the courage to simply step up to the plate. Good luck to each of you… may you find the answer to why that you’re looking for.
