Today is an especially difficult day for me to write a post because today is the day that we lose one of our own. Traver has been training here consistently for the past 3 years, which makes him officially “old school”. He’s a consistent member of the 6am crew and is a big part of the personality and intensity of that bunch. He’s also made a significant contribution to the rest of our community in the way that he shows up for events and challenges by both competing hard and helping others. He’s made lasting friendships with so many of us… it’s hard to see him go. Traver, while I will miss you, I know that going forward you will continue to make a significant contribution to your new community, bringing them the same dedication, passion and commitment you brought to us – and that, after all, is what it’s all about, passing it on. Santa Barbara will be a better place with you there… and for all of you who didn’t know, Traver is going to Santa Barbara to open up his own CrossFit Affiliate. Congratulations, Traver, and best of luck – we’ll all miss you!


Today’s Workout

“The Chief”
5 rounds
Each round lasts 3 minutes during which you complete as many rounds as possible of:
3 power cleans (m-135, w-95)
6 push ups
9 squats
– Take a 1 minute rest between each of the 5 rounds
