30 sit upI just saw Gravity this weekend. It’s a modern story about trial by fire and rebirth into something new.
What I noticed this time (we’ve all seen movies with that theme before) is that the main character didn’t get to go through the trial as the person she was going to become, she didn’t get to go through the trial as the person she wanted to be, she had to go through the trial as the person she was.
And it was only be walking through the fire as the person that she was that she burned away all that wasn’t truly her, all that she had added on, all that was holding her back.
You have to find the courage as the person that you are, knowing that the person you are going to become is already there waiting.
