Vitamin D

Our family doctor, Dr. Soram Khalsa, is big into herbs and supplements. He recently sent my wife home with a stockpile of vitamin D and a book that he wrote called “The Vitamin D Revolution“. I did a little research on vitamin D and have come to find out that it’s a SUPER vitamin – boosting the immune system to help your body fight off viral infections and disease. In fact, many doctors recommend it as opposed to getting a flu shot or an H1N1 vaccine. It’s relatively inexpensive ($13.99 for 600 soft gels containing 2,000 IU each at Costco) and there are no harmful side effects. So, I’m taking it – somewhere between 5-10,000 IU per day. Thoughts?
