Today’s Workout

Skill work on rope climb

Complete as many rounds as possible in 20 minutes of:
21 Push Ups (games standard)
12 Squat Jumps
1 Rope ClimbWhat if you were simply able to do a better job at controlling your body in 3-dimensions? You were able to maintain awareness of your center of gravity regardless of what position you were in. You could move your arms and legs to get your hands and feet into whatever position you wanted to – independently of each other. You could jump and land in balance (definitely on the floor, but better yet, up on a wall, curb, or other object life throws at you). You were comfortable up side down… inverted… and blood didn’t rush to your head making you dizzy… and you were able to stay inverted for some time. Wouldn’t that be awesome? Wouldn’t it improve your confidence as you go through life – how you carry yourself and participate in it’s challenges? In my opinion, this is the essence of gymnastics… helping you gain a greater awareness of your body, and it’s relationship to gravity, so that you’re able to do whatever you’d like, whenever you’d like, and however you’d like… and when life throws curve-balls, you’re swingin’ away with confidence.

So I guess what I’m saying is that our upcoming Gymnastic Seminar is a “Confidence Seminar”. But there won’t be much talking about confidence, rather, lots of things you can do to improve your confidence by developing balance, agility, coordination, accuracy, and strength. Join us… it will be a lot of fun and quite the challenge, regardless of your level!
