Who Says Women Can’t Be Strong?!

 In Uncategorized

So if you ever want to minimize post workout soreness, or help relieve it once it’s set in, there are a few things you can do: 1) Drink a LOT of water to keep your muscles hydrated and help flush your system, 2) Make use of hot/cold showers – 30 sec as hot as you can stand, 30 sec FULL cold, repeat up to 7 times, 3) Keep moving – stretch, get a soft, gentle rub-down or massage, use a foam roller, 4) Use a pain relieving rub like Icy Hot or Tiger Balm – won’t take away the soreness, but it will help make you feel a little better, and finally, 5) Take a pain reliever like Advil – I’m not much for promoting the use of pain relievers, but sometimes, when nothing else is working, it sure does feel good! (thanks to Adam Altman for posting some of these in comments)
