Work the Jerk

Today in class, we worked on the tall jerk, which is a valuable assistance exercise for the split jerk. This will show up in three of the six jerk-specific skill sessions this cycle. Each time, we’ll be training the half-press on toes variation, which is the third variation shown in the above video. This exercise will help you train the speed and aggressiveness needed to move your body under the bar during the split jerk.
