Deadlift 5 – 5 – 5+
Wendler Cycle 1, week 1
(65%, 75%, 85%)

7 Rounds for time of:
7 Pull ups
10 Burpees Unless you started Olympic weightlifting or gymnastics when you were a toddler, your wrists are probably NOT well adapted for holding heavy weight overhead while bent back. Over the years of coaching CrossFit, I’ve fielded many complaints/questions about wrist flexibility, strength, and pain while lifting and/or doing handstands. While stretching, strengthening and moving is the best way to reduce pain, increase blood flow and improve range of motion in your wrists, it is a long-term project for most.

In the mean time, I’d suggest getting a pair of wrist wraps. I just received my pair of “Red Devil Wrist Wraps” from Titan Support Systems. The Red Devils are the ONLY wrist wraps I would recommend of all the ones they make – they provide great support and are comfortable for going overhead (they’re also the least expensive. I used them today, and they were AWESOME. We’ll be carrying them in our store soon, but thought I’d give you the heads up.
